Nothing is too hard for God

Jeremiah 32: 27

I am the Lord, the God of all mankind, is anything too hard for me?

God told the prophet Jeremiah that He would hand the city of Jerusalem over to the Babylonians. He told Jeremiah that he should buy land from his cousin in the city even though it would be destroyed by the Babylonians.

Because of their evil deeds; idol worship, sacrificing their children to Baal, God allows the Babylonians to destroy the city and burn their houses. God wanted his people to fear him again for their own good and that of their children.

God promised that the land would be prosperous again and that houses and fields would again be bought in the city.
