Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Son of God who came to earth to live among us and die for our sins. He is the Messiah the Jews are still waiting for.
Acts 4: 11- 12
“He is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone”. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by whom we must be saved”.
If you haven’t given your heart to Jesus Christ and said the prayer of salvation, please say this prayer out loud:
“Dear Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I admit that I am a sinner and ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and shed His blood for me. Romans 10: 9 says that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead, that I am saved. Right now I repent of my sins and confess that Jesus is Lord and accept Jesus as my saviour, Amen.”
Salvation is an act of worship
Repenting of your sins and asking Jesus into your life is the first step towards working out your salvation. Philippians 2: 12- 13 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but so much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God is the One working in you, both to will and to do His good pleasure.”(MEV)
So what do I do next? Read and study the bible!
2 Timothy 3: 16 – 17 “All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”(MEV).
I repented of my sins many years ago but made very little growth due to not equipping myself in the word of God. Until a few years ago I started meditating on the word and asking the Holy Spirit to guide me into all truth. I became knowledgeable and renewed in my mind. God delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. They went through many experiences before they were able to enter into His rest to the Promised Land.
With the help of the Holy Spirit –
Hebrews 4: 12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrows, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”(ESV).
